Dipper - flying diver among singers

As if it were fish and bird in one, the dipper can not only fly, but also swim and dive very skillfully. This makes it unique among songbirds. You can currently observe it and other animal guests on the Sihl at the visitor center in Sihlwald.

Meet rangers and ranger horses

The ranger day on Sunday, July 5, will not take place at the Albis-Hochwacht observation tower as in previous years, but at the visitor center in Sihlwald and at Tannboden/Rooseveltplatz. From 1 p.m. to 4.30 p.m., you can look over the shoulders of our ranger team at work and join them on a Sihlwald excursion.

Mysterious insights through the back door of the museum

As part of the "Wilderness Days", a new series of events, the Zurich Wilderness Park is hosting an "Open Day" on May 17. On the grounds of the visitor center in Sihlwald, interested visitors are invited to take a look behind the scenes of the nature museum and immerse themselves in the diverse world of herbs and meadows. Young and old alike can take a guided tour, get creative and get actively involved, and take a peek through the open door of the Sihlwald restaurant.

Mother's Day in the Zurich Langenberg Wilderness Park

Our tip for Mother's Day: On Langenberg Day, organized by the Society for the Promotion of Langenberg, the focus is on the little ones. On the one hand, there are short tours of the young animals, and on the other hand, little guests can have fun at the play and craft table and be transformed into their favorite animal.

Opening day of the visitor center

with new exhibition "Well or ill. A herb grows for everything"

Herbs are the theme of the new special exhibition at the Nature Museum in the Zurich Wilderness Park in Sihlwald. Exciting stories, colorful rooms and fine smells take you into the world of herbs. The vernissage will take place on Sunday, March 22, as part of the opening day. The program includes guided tours, "Märli" and a small aperitif.

New landlord and landlady couple for the restaurant in Zurich Wilderness Park

The new landlords of the Langenberg and Sihlwald restaurants are Michelle and Remo Eschle. They will take over the two restaurants of the Zurich Wilderness Park Foundation from April 1, 2015. Until then, both restaurants will remain closed.

End of the season: The 2014 season ends on November 2

of the visitor center and museum in Sihlwald

Next Sunday, November 2, the visitor center, museum and restaurant in Sihlwald will close their doors for the winter break. On this day, admission to the exhibitions is free - and the end of winter will be celebrated with live music and other attractions for young and old.
