As if it were fish and bird in one, the dipper can not only fly, but also swim and dive very skillfully. This makes it unique among songbirds. You can currently observe it and other animal guests on the Sihl at the visitor center in Sihlwald.

As part of the "Wilderness Days", a new series of events, the Zurich Wilderness Park is hosting an "Open Day" on May 17. On the grounds of the visitor center in Sihlwald, interested visitors are invited to take a look behind the scenes of the nature museum and immerse themselves in the diverse world of herbs and meadows. Young and old alike can take a guided tour, get creative and get actively involved, and take a peek through the open door of the Sihlwald restaurant.

A clear majority of the local population sees the Zurich-Sihlwald Nature Discovery Park as a benefit for the region. The rules that apply in the park also enjoy a high level of acceptance. Together with the animal park on Langenberg, Sihlwald is part of the Zurich Wilderness Park.

In the Zurich Wilderness Park, wild animals are more than just crowd-pullers. They represent the native wilderness as well as the beauty and vulnerability of our natural habitats and biodiversity. Encounter wild animals at eye level, whether in captivity in Langenberg or in the wild in Sihlwald.

"Every year again ..." also applies to the elk, horses, deer and bison in Zurich Wilderness Park. Because every year, the large herbivores in the park get to enjoy unsold Christmas trees.
