New prices for parking in the Zurich Wilderness Park

The Zurich Wilderness Park Foundation is increasing the daily flat rate for visitor parking by five francs as of January 1, 2024. The foundation uses this income to finance a significant part of its operations. The reason for the price increase is rising costs for the maintenance of animal facilities and visitor infrastructure.

Admission to the Zurich Wilderness Park is free for visitors. This is only possible because the foundation's sponsors and the Zürcher Kantonalbank as the main sponsor finance a large part of the operation. The sponsors include the city and canton of Zurich, municipalities in the district of Horgen and Pro Natura Zurich.

However, the Zurich Wilderness Park Foundation must also generate its own funds to cover the costs of running the park. In addition to donations and income from courses and guided tours, parking lot revenues are an important source of income. Rising costs and increased maintenance requirements now require a price adjustment after ten years.

An annual parking permit is worthwhile for frequent visits
If you drive to the Zurich Wilderness Park by car, you pay a daily flat rate for the parking lot. From January 1, 2024, this will cost CHF 15 at Langenberg Zoo and CHF 10 at Sihlwald. The payment obligation lasts from 08:00 to 18:00.

For people who visit Zurich Wildlife Park frequently, an annual parking permit is attractive; this costs CHF 100 as before and is valid at both locations. It is now available online: via www.parkingpay.ch or via the Parkingpay app. It can be purchased all year round and is valid for 365 days.

Better public transport connections to Langenberg Zoo

The timetable change from December 10, 2023 will improve accessibility to Tierpark Langenberg by public transport. Bus route 153 will now run from Adliswil to Langnau-Gattikon at weekends. It runs every 20 minutes and stops at the Schwerzi-Wildpark bus stop in Langnau am Albis. As before, bus route 240 also stops there, running between Thalwil station via Hausen am Albis to Baar. Both bus routes are well coordinated with the S-Bahn timetable.

"We are very pleased about this new service," explains Karin Hindenlang Clerc, Managing Director of Wildnispark Zürich. "Those who prefer to visit us by public transport can now travel very flexibly thanks to a wide range of connections."
