Why do young fawns wear stripes? At what age do fawns start jumping over hill and dale on their own? If you've always wanted clear answers to these questions, you've come to the right place at the Young Animal Day in Zurich Langenberg Wilderness Park next Sunday. On short guided tours of the wild animals and at information stands, wilderness messengers will provide information about the current young animals and answer all your questions about our wild animals.

The bear enclosure is particularly attractive at the moment. Here, the two adult brown bears and their three cubs can be observed. There is also a lot going on in the ibex enclosure. Several ibex fawns try their first steps and jumps on the climbing rock and keep their mothers on their toes. Speaking of trotting: The Przewalski's horses at Langenberg West have already given birth to two foals this year.

Courtship, reproduction and the rearing of young animals are among the most important social contacts in the life of a wild animal. The Zurich Wilderness Park therefore endeavors to provide its animals with as many of these aspects of life as possible.
