the "Müsli-Hüsli" opens its doors on October 4/5
Animals that otherwise live as secret lodgers with us humans are given their own home in the Zurich Langenberg Wilderness Park. In the "Müsli-Hüsli", house mice, Norway rats and dormice welcome visitors.
Boundaries between animal enclosure and visitor area are dissolving
The boundaries between the animal enclosures and the visitor area are dissolving. Guests can sit together with the house mice at a kitchen table, separated only by a pane of glass. The Norway rats await visitors in a cellar room filled with wooden barrels and "fruit rats" behind a fine mesh screen - and thus also offer an experience for the nose. And in the garage, the dormice scamper between logs and over garden tools. At the moment, however, they are already in hibernation.
