Nature Museum Sihlwald

Discover, investigate, observe

The Nature Museum is a five minute-walk from Sihlwald train station. It is part of the Visitor Centre and showcases three fascinating exhibitions on the themes of forest wilderness and natural woodland. Information about the history of the Sihlwald Forest and its inhabitants are brought to life here over two floors of exhibition space. Films, interactive exhibits, fascinating stories, caves to play in, animals to touch, stimulating scent trails... there's all this and so much more for visitors of all ages to enjoy at the museum.

«Sand lizard. Everything alright?»

Special exhibition

Sand lizards love it messy. Where people tidy up nature, important structures and connecting elements for these native reptiles are missing. The new special exhibition at the Nature Museum in Sihlwald reveals what this means for the small animals in terms of their survival in the wild.
