Albispass-Albishorn-Tüfenbach
Winter hike in Wildnispark Zurich Sihlwald
Season
All season
The walk leads from the Albis pass to the Hochwacht observation tower and then further through the wetlands of Waldmatt. Afterwards the ascent follows Albishorn and on to Bürglen - the highest point of the walk - before it then descends to Tüfenbach.
The hike starts at the Albis Pass and leads to the Hochwacht observation tower. There, you can take in the impressive size of the Sihlwald wilderness for the first time and gaze out towards the mountains. After the Schnabellücken, the trail descends eastwards into the wildest areas of the Sihlwald. The trail leads through the heart of the core zone, along the Waldmatt wetland, under individual fallen tree trunks and on to the Albishornweiher pond. From there, the trail climbs again to the Albishorn restaurant, which offers a second stunning view of the Alps. After refreshments at the restaurant, the hike continues along the ridge and core zone boundary via Bürglen – the highest point of the route – down to Tüfenbach.
