Update on coronavirus protection measures in the Zurich Wilderness Park

Langenberg Zoo

  • The zoo is open.
  • The Langenberg restaurant is open daily as a take-away establishment in good weather, including a terrace with compulsory seating. The current operating hours are communicated on site and on wildnispark.ch.
  • The Müsli-Hüsli, the Elk House, the Spring Water Castle and the Mongolian Yurt will remain closed for the time being. The visitor area near the wildcats will be marked as a one-way system.
  • The minimum distance of 1.5 meters applies throughout the area and masks are compulsory for people aged 12 and over. Persons who can present a medical certificate or a legal certificate are exempt from the mask requirement. All other persons who refuse to wear a mask will be turned away.
  • Gatherings of more than 15 people are prohibited.
  • The Wilderness Park store is open Wed, Sat, Sun and on public holidays. The number of visitors is limited.
  • On Wednesdays, Saturdays and Sundays, wilderness messengers circulate throughout the area in dry weather. They will be happy to answer any questions or concerns you may have.
  • Pro Natura's Naturmobil will be open during the hours of operation of the wildlife messengers.

Sihlwald visitor center area

  • The visitor center, the nature museum and the otter enclosure are open. The distance rule of 1.5 meters applies throughout the site. Masks are compulsory indoors and in nearby outdoor areas for persons aged 12 and over. Persons who can produce a medical certificate or a legal certificate are exempt from the mask requirement. All other persons who refuse to wear a mask will be turned away.

Events

  • Guided tours and group offers with a maximum of 15 people can be organized (including guides). The distancing rules (1.5 m) must be observed and masks must be worn indoors and outdoors. The corona-related cancellation conditions 2021 continue to apply until further notice.

  • The short wild boar tours will be carried out.
  • The neophyte action days are held in small groups.
  • School activities with children and young people up to the age of 20 can be carried out. The protection concept for schools in the canton of Zurich applies.
  • All events in the annual program up to the end of May can take place.
