You recently took over the operation of Restaurant Langenberg and have created numerous new offers. What do you offer guests?

There's something delicious for everyone! Classic children's dishes and burgers, as well as vegetarian and vegan menus. We also have something for people with gluten or lactose intolerance. We now offer a brunch once a month, combined with a guided tour of the zoo. In the fall, we offer a twilight tour with a game feast around the campfire.

What do you offer for parties?

We set up the Jägerstübli as a playroom for children's birthday parties. We serve cake and syrup, table bombs and much more on request. Parents can also book a child-friendly guided tour of the park.

We also cater for after-school care centers and schools. We are also happy to provide a suitable culinary setting for family, company or club events.

Zoo Restaurants GmbH, the company you work for, also runs the catering outlets at Zurich Zoo. What do you do differently at Langenberg Zoo?

Zurich Zoo is home to animals from all over the world. At Langenberg Zoo, visitors can get to know local animals better. We design the menu accordingly: At Zurich Zoo, our dishes are a little more international, while at Langenberg the focus is on local dishes.

Sustainability is very important to you. What does that mean in concrete terms?

We buy as regionally as possible. We don't fly in goods or use palm oil. Meat and fish come from Switzerland, and we also offer organic products.

We actively combat food waste by analyzing our food waste and adapting our range accordingly.

Is it still possible to stay overnight at the Langenberg?

Oh, yes! We have six beautifully furnished rooms. Spending the night here and going for a walk in the zoo late at night or early in the morning is a special experience!

If you book a group tour of Sihlwald or Langenberg Zoo, you can order an aperitif from us.

That's right! Our "Standard" aperitif offer is particularly attractive. It includes white wine, orange juice, beer and water as well as salty snacks such as vegetable potato chips, curry cashew nuts, Chäsmöckli, macarons with goat's cheese, charcuterie canapés and antipasti.

We cater for groups in the Ofenstübli at Langenberg Zoo. In bad weather inside, in good weather on the Stübli terrace. In Sihlwald we serve aperitifs under the roofs of the old coach house, protected from rain or blazing sun.

The Restaurant Langenberg is open 365 days a year.
