There remains a significant risk of forest fire throughout the entire Sihlwald area, on the grounds of the Sihlwald Visitor Centre and at Langenberg Wildlife Park.
Due to the ongoing drought, the Canton of Zurich has classified the risk of forest fire as ‘significant’. The drought across the whole canton remains ‘severe’. We therefore ask that you do not light any fires in the Sihlwald. In the wildlife park, you may use the designated fire pits. Please ensure that you always extinguish the fire completely.
As a general rule, fires in the forest and near the forest, or outdoors in general, should be avoided wherever possible. Particularly when it is windy, there is a risk of flying embers, and fires should therefore be avoided whenever possible.

The situation is being monitored continuously. You can find the latest information at waldbrandgefahr.ch and zh.ch/waldbrandgefahr.
