Documentary film about the Zurich Sihlwald Wilderness Park
On Friday, July 8, Swiss television will present a documentary on SRF 1 about Switzerland's first nature discovery park - the Zurich Sihlwald Wilderness Park. The report marks the start of a 5-part series on Swiss parks of national importance.
The documentary "Rendez-vous im Park", which will be broadcast on SRF 1 on Friday, July 8 at 9 p.m., is dedicated entirely to the first nationally awarded nature discovery park - the Zurich Sihlwald Wilderness Park.
In 50 minutes, the documentary provides an insight into an impressive wilderness area located between the urban centers of Zurich and Zug. Rare plant and animal species live here, the Sihlwald offers a unique research environment for scientists, and every year around 200 school classes from the region immerse themselves in the forest wilderness and learn about the flora and fauna. The park is an important recreational area for the local population.

"We are delighted that we can reach people all over Switzerland with this report and get them excited about Sihlwald."
This summer, Swiss television is presenting a 5-part series on Swiss parks. The Swiss National Park, the UNESCO Biosphere Reserve Entlebuch, the Parc du Doubs, the Parco Val Calanca and the Zurich Sihlwald Wilderness Park will be portrayed. The series will be broadcast in three languages on SRF, RTS and RSI.
