After the heavy thunderstorms there is a lot of loose dead wood and fallen trees can block paths. Please be careful and do not rest under scrawny trees.

Due to the ongoing heat wave and drought, there is a considerable risk of forest fires in the canton of Zurich (level 3 out of 5). We kindly ask you not to light fires in the Sihlwald. You may use the marked fireplaces in the Langenberg Wildlife Park. Please always extinguish the fire completely.

Change in the Foundation Members' Meeting

There are personnel changes in the Foundation Members' Meeting of the Wildnispark Zurich Foundation.

Friday, 31. May 2024

Andreas Hasler is stepping down from the Founders' Assembly at the end of May. He has represented Pro Natura Zurich as the sponsoring and founding organisation of the Wildnispark Zurich Foundation in the Foundation Members' Meeting since 2008.
We would like to thank Andreas Hasler for his many years of commitment to the Wildnispark Zurich.

His seat will be taken by Nora Hug, Co-Managing Director of Pro Natura Zurich.
We warmly welcome Mrs Hug to the Foundation Members' Meeting and look forward to working with her!

The sponsors of the Wildnispark Zurich Foundation include the Canton of Zurich, the municipalities of the Horgen district, the City of Zurich and Pro Natura Zurich. The interests of the sponsors are represented in the Foundation Members' Meeting. This elects and supervises the Board of Trustees and approves the service agreement, which is renewed every five years. It also has decision-making powers on all strategic matters and determines major expenditure within the framework of the budget and monitors the handling of business matters.
